Speaking at the event, N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Group, said Tata Motors is committed to the future of mobility, specially the government's vision in the electric vehicles space.

TVS Motor on Wednesday unveiled its electric scooter concept Creon and a 220cc single-cylinder engine bike Zeppelin at the Auto Expo 2018.

The company plans to add a new CNG vertical and introduce new models of diesel and electric vehicles in the coming quarter, he added.

With an eye on the government's push for electric-only vehicles by 2030, Tata Motors is displaying an extended range of six EV products in personal and mass mobility segments.

The Auto Expo 2018 has begun in full swing bringing cars and bikes from major brands to the forefront.

Auto Expo The Motor Show 2018, jointly organised by Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and accredited by International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) is being organised from February 9 14 at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

Maruti Suzuki made the global unveiling of its concept compact vehicle with SUV-like features named ConceptFutureS. Furthermore, its EV range also included the electric version of its compact SUV e-KUV100 and the e2o NXT, an upgraded version of its existing electric hatchback e2oPlus. Called the H5X, the radical concept previews a new SUV that is set to join Tata Motors' line-up this year. It will have a powerful electric drive of 300kW total output with a range of up to 500 km along with driver assistance systems for maximum safety, the company said. But what makes it special this time, is the unveiling of an electric version as well. The much awaited Civic will be available in both petrol & diesel engine options when launched in India. The concept vehicle symbolises Maruti Suzuki's commitment to helping develop the entire life-cycle of EVs in India, including local manufacturing of components, charging infrastructure and recycling of batteries, the company said. The automobile products accounted for 5.3 million of our global sales and India was a great contributor. It also unveiled two scooters - "Maestro Edge 125" and "Duet 125".

The Auto Expo 2018 will see global automakers locking horns to launch and showcase their best products to the world.
