Alleged Florida high school shooter has $800000 inheritance, reports say

Woman told FBI Florida shooting suspect is ‘going to explode

Nikolas Cruz, the 19-year-old Florida shooting suspect, is reportedly in line for an $800,000 inheritance after his adoptive mother died in November.

According to the report, Deschamps told deputies "there were no weapons allowed" in the home, and claimed Cruz may have buried a weapon on the property.

Deschamps told deputies that he didn't want Cruz to go to jail because he "has been going through a lot with his loss" and signed a refusal to prosecute form.

When deputies arrived, Cruz was sitting in the neighborhood park "nervous and calm", according to the report and "was sorry for losing his temper". It appears Deschamps is trying to make a play to keep Zachary's part of his mother's estate separate from Nikolas and therefore not responsible for any financial damages that will surely be filed by the families of the victims, as well as those that survived with injuries.

Four days before Cruz misplaced his mother's photograph, Deschamps called 911 while Cruz was at work.

Cruz is charged with 17 counts of murder in the deaths of 14 students and three adults, including teachers, in the deadly rampage at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine's Day.

According to the report, the social worker was concerned the 17-year-old's caretaker, Roxanne Deschamps (Rock Deschamps' mother), had yet to file for guardianship.

The FBI admitted Friday that it did not follow "protocols" in responding to an anonymous tip, expressing concerns over Cruz potentially conducting a school shooting.

Nikolas Cruz briefly lived with Deschamps, but moved out around Thanksgiving and went to live with James and Kimberly Snead, the parents of a friend.

Finkelstein has previously said he is willing to have Cruz plead guilty in the mass shooting if prosecutors agree not to pursue the death penalty in the multiple murder case.

Lynda Cruz, who adopted the biological Cruz brothers when Nikolas was two-years-old, and his younger brother was two-months-old, died November 1st from pneumonia.

There is no reference to guns in the offense report, but the dispatch log indicates that Cruz told deputies there were guns inside the home.

The next day, on February 16, Palm Beach Sheriff deputies involuntarily committed Cruz's 17-year-old brother to a mental institution.

"We were best friends", said Deschamps.

"The Broward County Public Defender's Office shall not interfere with counsel's right to speak with Nikolas Cruz regarding this pending probate case", Greene ruled.

In Broward County, deputies went to the Cruz family home there nearly 40 times between 2010 and January 2017, CNN reported, citing public documents.

An investigative summary report said Cruz had been cutting both arms after getting into an argument with his mother.
