McCoy, Bills overcome Colts for OT win in snow

The scene is reminiscent of the Philadelphia Eagles game against the Detroit Lions in 2013, when almost a foot of snow fell on Philadelphia during game time. But a storm developing off Lake Erie did a number on Buffalo, and it made for quite a game for the Bills and the Indianapolis Colts.

The Bills have used two different quarterbacks in the past three weeks and there could be another change when the Bills host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday (10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET, CBS, DirecTV).

It was a winter wonderland out in Orchard Park on Sunday, but a game against the Indianapolis Colts (3-10) still had to be played, and the Bills are clinging to life in the AFC playoff picture following an instant classic in overtime, a 13-7 win.

The football played by both teams was dramatically affected.

Peterman was injured after he dove at the end of a 2-yard run and was tackled by Colts defenders Antonio Morrison and Johnathan Hankins.

The Colts converted the two-point conversion on another pass to Doyle, but receiver Kamar Aiken was called for offensive pass interference.

That led to the Colts scrambling to settle for a 43-yard extra point into the wind. After his teammates feverishly cleared out a spot, Vinatieri just barely snuck in the kick, tying the game at 7. Shady averaged 5.8 yards per rush and took off on a 21-yard touchdown run in the waning minutes of overtime to give the Bills the win. McCoy finished with 4.9 yards-per-carry on 32 carries. "I've never been a part of a game like this before". He got into the Patriots game last week and that should be helpful for Sunday because he threw 15 passes without a pick in garbage time, which should have at least settled him back in. He's in the concussion protocol per Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott. A loss to Buffalo would officially end those chances and mark the third straight year Indy's missed the playoffs - the team's longest stretch since 1992-94.
