Barnaby Joyce speechless when asked about North Korea threat

Kim Jong-un

"If this is not twisted enough, now North Korea's reckless pursuit of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles threatens the entire world with unthinkable loss of human life", Trump said at the United Nations on Tuesday.

The threats by Pyongyang came after Trump threatened to "totally destroy" North Korea in a speech to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.

Kim made the remarks on September 22 in response to recent USA -led sanctions efforts and a threat Trump made on September 19 in a speech to the United Nations General Assembly.

North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho responded fiercely Saturday to President Donald Trump's warnings earlier this week.

Mr Trump said: "We can't have madmen out there shooting rockets all over the place", adding: "Rocket Man should have been handled a long time ago".

In an escalation of the war of words between the United States and North Korea, Trump sent a pre-dawn tweet on Friday saying: "Kim Jong Un of North Korea, who is obviously a madman who doesn't mind starving or killing his people, will be tested like never before!"

North Korea was slapped with new, stiffer sanctions by the United Nations after its sixth and most power nuclear test on September 3. Satellite photos of the area after the Sept 3 quake showed numerous landslides apparently caused by the massive blast, which North Korea said was an advanced hydrogen bomb.

"Kim, whom Trump has nicknamed "Rocket Man", called the 71-year-old "mentally deranged" and warned that his threats have convinced me, rather than frightening or stopping me, that the path I chose is correct and that it is the one I have to follow to the last".

The patrols came after officials and experts said a small natural disaster near North Korea's nuclear test site on Saturday was probably not man-made, easing fears Pyongyang had exploded another nuclear bomb just weeks after its last one.

The remarks of the US President evoked sharp reaction from Jong-un. Experts say it could have been a geological response to the test.

"Textiles are believed to be the North's biggest source of foreign revenue following rounds of United Nations sanctions under which Beijing cut off purchases of coal, iron ore, seafood and other goods", the AP says.

"DPRK is a responsible nuclear weapons state", he explained.

North Korea just intimated that it may test a nuclear weapon somewhere above the Pacific Ocean.

Trump and Kim are presently engaged in a war of words.

"The worldwide community is raising voices of denunciation, being deeply concerned about such outbursts and wild words as "total destruction" of a sovereign state, not just "overturn of social system" and "regime change", he said". Because they feel under threat and under siege'.

U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson expressed hope in an interview with ABC that sanctions and "voices from every corner of the world" could lead North Korea back to talks, but admitted intensifying rhetoric had left Washington "quite challenged". The sale of liquefied natural gas has been banned outright and the export of refined petroleum has been reduced to two barrels per year.

The United States military, however, operates under the assumption that North Korea already has the capability. He blasted Trump's maiden speech to the UN General Assembly as "unprecedented rude nonsense".

North Korean soldiers chat as they stand guard behind national flags of China, front, and North Korea on a boat anchored along the banks of Yalu River, near the North Korean town of Sinuiju, opposite the Chinese border city of Dandong, on June 10, 2013.

"We wanted to be responsible and go through all diplomatic means to get their attention first".
